This project turns your own story premise into three character cards, one relationship sheet and five dialogue tests. AI helps expose contradictions; it must not keep inventing backstory. The sample is fictional, and PickByTask did not build or play-test a game.
Canva currently offers Docs, presentations, whiteboards and design layouts alongside AI tools. Use it to lay out the three approved character cards and relationship sheet after the knowledge checks pass. Check the current plan before choosing premium assets. Canva · Plans

Freeze what each character knows
For each NPC, write a goal, fear, public fact, private fact, relationship to the other two characters and one fact they do not know. Give every statement an ID. Use only original characters and remove any private information borrowed from real people.
Allow about 60–90 minutes for three cards, five tests and corrections. The estimate excludes illustration and implementation in a game engine.

Use only the three NPC cards below. For each of five situations,
write two lines per character and cite the card IDs that support them.
Preserve each goal, relationship and knowledge boundary.
Do not reveal a private fact to a character who does not know it.
Do not add history, powers, items or relationships.
If the scene requires missing information, write NEEDS DECISION.

Visit Canva ↗Build and test the pack
- Give the three NPCs distinct goals that can collide in one location.
- Mark every fact as public, private or unknown to each character.
- Run one situation at a time and keep the supporting IDs beside each line.
- Flag contradictions instead of asking AI to smooth them over.
- Update the source card first, then rerun only the affected situation.
- Put the approved cards and relationship arrows into one readable sheet.
Worked fictional sample
Nara wants to recover a map but does not know that Bo hid it. Bo wants to leave town and knows the hiding place. Chen knows Nara is searching but not who took the map. In a market scene, Nara may ask where it went; she cannot accuse Bo by name unless another event gives her that knowledge.
The pack passes when all five scenes keep each goal, relationship and knowledge boundary, and every line traces to a card ID. A second reader should be able to identify who knows the map's location without reading the dialogue twice.
Recover when continuity breaks
If a character knows too much, reduce the test to one turn and list allowed facts above it. If two goals sound identical, rewrite the cards before the dialogue. If Canva is unavailable, use index cards and draw relationship arrows by hand. Keep the text source as the authority even when the visual sheet looks polished.
